Avoiding the Scams of Con Artists

Written by Luke Cocks of Dorris Design © 2007

There have always been con artists in the world. Con artists’ are the type of people whose entire life is spent trying to trick money out of the less aware.

The invention of credit cards and the internet have now opened the doors to the whole world for these con artists and their tactics are forever evolving along with this technology.

This article has been written to give the honest people of the world the knowledge to safely avoid the scams that have been born in this frightening electronic age.

The number one issue I wish to draw your attention to is these days’ con artists like to be as far away as possible from the person they are scamming. By doing this there is very little chance of the con artist being dealt with when they are found out.

Most of the time the scam is for such a small sum of money that victims just can’t be bothered doing anything about it anyway. For this reason con artists much prefer smaller scams and just try to accomplish as many as they can.

There are of coarse larger scale scams going on every day and you can join up with the offending person’s government’s fraud department to find and condemn the con artist but unfortunately it is rather impossible to get back any stolen funds.

The best thing to do when approached by an overseas customer or company is to tread with extreme caution and ask as many questions as plausible to flush out any scammers.
