First of all, what is this Internet thing?

There must be some people out there who are running a business but don’t have a website.This new technology called the internet has obviously caught a few people off guard and many are still wary and un-sure about the internet.

The media doesn’t help this situation by telling us all the horror stories of stolen identity or credit card details, stalkers, etc.

What the media isn’t telling us though is about all the success stories of the internet and how it has greatly affected the global economy in a very positive way. The media also forgets to mention all the security enhancements the internet has received over the years.

Explanation: The internet is a basic concept; anyone can have their own website which can be accessible to anyone with an internet connection across the world. A website can be absolutely anything and now that the internet has been around for so long you can find basically everything online.

This does mean that there are many websites of a negative nature but last I heard business websites now accounted for well over sixty percent of total websites. This figure has been climbing steadily over the past ten years but more rapidly recently as business owners are realizing the potential of the internet.
