    Do you want free customers from online search engines?

    Considering people online use search engines to find what they are looking for 80% of the time you would be silly to have a website and not want a piece of this huge online market.

    SEO is the technique by which a website is designed around its content, which in turn is written with the most popular keywords and phrases used by people who are searching for your products and services.

    By planning your Search Engine Optimisation before you start planning the rest of your website you can then aim to seriously compete in the online marketplace.

    We don't guarantee you the number one position for your choice of keywords in Google and Yahoo like some other web design firms because it's simply an impossible task most of the time. We do aim to get you on the first page of the most popular search for your products or services, but even this can often be difficult if the keywords have a lot of hot competition.

    We can usually tell you what is needed to be done to be ranked within the top 5 for the most popular keywords, but quite often it would cost a lot of money up front to get there and if you can't afford it then it might be best to think of alternative keywords or methods of bringing in more visitors to your site.

    The search engines are in charge and are changing the rules for SEO all the time which means websites often need to be updated and tweaked to regain their position. In-fact, if your website is not updated on a regular basis your ranking will suffer for it. That isn't a sales pitch either, it's the rules imposed by the search engines themselves.

    The picture above is for a Google search for the word "jewellers". You can see our website for Matthews Jewellers ranking 4th at the time of taking the screenshot (12th of June 07), which is a rather good ranking for such a competitive keyword. You can go to     Google right now to prove this isn't a fabrication. Hopefully it hasn't slipped from this position as we do try to maintain it.

    Search Engine Optimisation Services

     The research and planning for basic Search Engine Optimisation for a website costs $165 depending on your scope of services and keywords. Implementation of the SEO plan we create costs from $220 depending on the size of your website and the competitiveness of your market.

    If Dorris Design is building your website from scratch we can incorperate some of the SEO plan implementation into the site construction and save you some time and money.

    We also provide an on-going SEO service to help improve and keep your search engine ranking at its best. This service can be employed on a monthly basis for $110 per month. You may decide to utilise this service only every six months or once a year. It's up to you weather you would like your ranking to be better and thus bring you more customers.
